Megan G Headshot.jpg

Megan joins Tulsa Family Doulas specializing in antepartum, birth, and postpartum care.  She is certified and experienced as a birth and postpartum doula, Your Birth Experience childbirth education instructor, a Happiest Baby on the Block instructor, and has received the credentials HCHD as a Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis Doula. She is also trained in the arts of Bengkung Belly Binding and Placenta Encapsulation.

After graduating from Northeastern State University with a BA in Geography, she became a certified secondary teacher and worked at the University of Oklahoma at the East Asia Institute, providing professional development for Oklahoma teachers and helping to develop Chinese language and exchange programs.  She became increasingly more interested in birth and postpartum work after having children of her own, and finally decided to make the move to doula work in 2014.  While she is interested in all aspects of pregnancy and birth, she has a real passion for helping new mothers during the postpartum period, a time that she herself has always found challenging.

When Megan is not assisting other families, she stays busy at home with her own children, Ava, Pierce, and Blake, and husband, Scott.  Together, they enjoy camping, going on cruises, spending time with extended family, and going to the movies.  Megan has been a dedicated Jazzerciser for nearly ten years, which helps offset her other favorite activity - cupcake baking!
