New Your Baby Experience and Your Breastfeeding Experience Classes for Tulsa Community

New Your Baby Experience and Your Breastfeeding Experience Classes for Tulsa Community

What a great week! There were 9 of us at the first ever YB Doula Training Retreat and y'all, it was more than amazing. I've done a whole heck of a lot of trainings for doulas and this has been my favorite one thus far and it gave us more to give to you, our wonderful Tulsa Community!

This training was coordinated by Missy Boudiette, owner and found of the incredibly successful Your Birth Experience curriculum.

Now Accepting Applications for Birth and Postpartum Doulas

I am thrilled to announce that Tulsa Family Doulas is officially accepting applications for Birth and Postpartum Doulas for contract work with the agency!

This agency is my heart and soul and has been nurtured, fed, loved, grown and is now again spreading its wings as I open the doors for more work for Birth and Postpartum Doulas.

The Tulsa Family Doulas Difference

The Tulsa Family Doulas Difference

The growth in the popularity and presence of doulas in Tulsa has been astounding lately. More people are realizing the positive benefits for continuous, compassionate care before pregnancy, during birth and after delivery. Serious studies show the benefit to having doula support, and many women find the increased satisfaction of having that continuous, unbiased support well worth the investment.

The process of finding a doula may seem like it would be quite daunting, but it really doesn't have to be. Tulsa Family Doulas eases the process by taking care of a couple of really important steps for you ahead of time.

Top 4 Pregnancy Information Resources

Thanks to the somewhat overwhelming and abundant information found in places like the beloved and dreaded GoogleBabyCenterpregnancy.com (seriously, those week by week images are addicting!) and WebMD,  you have the world at your fingertips. You can search for anything pregnancy and birth related and receive thousands of opinions, perspectives, rants and claims. But, it's the Internet, and no one can put anything on the Internet if it isn't true, right?

You have HOW MANY initials behind your name?

You have HOW MANY initials behind your name?

Not enough. Never enough.

I started drinking in as much birth education as I could right before and after my last child was born and attended my first birth less than 4 months after he was born in 2009. I didn't even know what a doula was until after he was born, but I immediately knew that I needed to become one and be able to tell women what it felt like to be empowered and confident when giving birth.

And then, the drive to receive all my initials began.
