Birth and New Mom Affirmations - Free Printables
As a birth and postpartum doulas, it is our privilege to be able to speak positivity into the ears of our clients, and watch them find their own strength while welcoming their baby into their arms and then caring for that baby.
There is something about having someone stand by your side that believes in you 100% during one of the most surreal experiences of your life.
We want to shout from the mountaintops about how amazing women are!
There is so much negativity and fear that is unnecessarily forced onto pregnant women about their bodies and their babies. And we want to do our part to help change the words in your mind.
One of the ways we can do this is to provide you with these free birth and new mom affirmations.
10 affirmations each! So 10 for labor and 10 to encourage any mom through the tasks of being a new mom.
We may not be able to be able to be the ones whispering words of encouragement to you during labor or even holding you when you're crying over the overwhelming amount of needs your baby has, but we can give you these affirmations to hang up, look at every day and say to yourself over and over and over.
The impact of the words we read, listen to and speak are so incredibly far-reaching. Every time I work with a client, and really get to know them and their passions, their goals, and even their fears, I get to see the transition from anxiety to peace just by the use of words.
It also works the other way as well.
What you say and how you say it impacts so many people. What you listen to and what you let guide your thoughts can build you up or break you down.
This applies to pregnant women and to new moms (and hey, everyone else too!). So how about changing what you are choosing to fill your brain and your soul and remove the negative thoughts, pressures and opinions. Replace them with what you need to hear to help you achieve your goals and get to your source of joy, accomplishment and peace.
Please share these words.
Fill the souls of your pregnant friends and new moms with words that can be easily printed from a pdf document onto a standard-sized piece of paper (8.5x11), taped, nailed, strung and hung in places obvious and inconspicuous.
Make your thoughts become a priority, so that you can take on the very demanding task of motherhood with confidence and a beautiful sense of accomplishment every day of your pregnancy and every moment (sometimes they are so hard!) as a mom.
I'm telling you mama, you can do this.
